Birch Box: January!

My January Birch Box has arrived! The box contained: tea bags, moisturizing lotion, dry shampoo, lip/cheek stain and a clarifying lotion. My favorite so far is the pink body butter. It smells delicious! I tried the dry shampoo but I felt like my hair was greasy all day so I might try it another time. The clarifying lotion is nice but it has foundation in it which I don't use very often at all.

I love my birch box. I have seen on Facebook that there are all kinds of boxes especially training/running boxes which I may try out soon.

Does anyone have any other boxes that they recieve regularly that they enjoy?

Birch Box: The best box in the world!

After reading Kath Eats (katheats.com), she suggested this wonderful gift box which sends you beauty samples based on your preferences once a month. They send you 5-6 samples which you are able to rate or buy more if you would like the full size.

I am not very big on beauty products so for me I love this idea because I can learn a little bit more about different products and they give you tips and pointers on how to use the samples that you receive. Which is great for the uneducated beauty folk, like me.

Here is my first box. It came with: a chocolate bar with pop rocks in it which was quite alarming, leave in conditioner, body cream, a nail polish which I love the color of and my favorite a highlighting pencil. I also love that they send you emails about tips and tricks on how to use the products. Since, I am not very good at understanding how to use make up the helpful hints make me feel like I can actually use all of these products! <3

Maine: Part 2

One of my favorite places in Maine is the Old Port. The cobble stone streets with lots of shops always is entertaining to me. My mom and I decided spend the afternoon going shopping. I wanted to pick up something for my bestie Hay and there is no better place for knick knacks than the Old Port.

Every store is unique and I just love the signs for the local shops. My mom and I also stopped for gelato which was delicious! I definitely would love to go again. I found something really cute for Hay and I found a pair of metal lobster earrings for myself which I just adore. All in all, a success!
